Sacred Stones capital Campaign intro letter
Dear Friends of St. John’s,
Now is the time to step up and give our prayers and financial support to the maintenance of our treasured church building and property! The theme for our capital campaign is “Sacred Stones.” Our goal is $350,000. Rev. Anne and Rev. Ron will guide us spiritually through the three weeks of the campaign.
The church services on April 6th and 7th will introduce the Sacred Stones Capital Campaign. A packet will be distributed at these worship services to each active friend of St. John’s and can be picked up at a table after each worship service. The information will center on the facts: the project, the financials, the leadership, the dates and what people will be asked to consider.
On April 13th and 14th, the packets will continue to be available to be picked up. Any packets not yet picked up after these services will be mailed on Monday, April 15th.
On April 20th and 21st, we will be invited to bring forward our offerings and pledges to the altar. In this way, we join the prayers and financial support of past ministers and friends of St. John’s who have invested in our magnificent church since 1902.
The recorded history, kept over the years, tells a wonderful story of the loving care given by many to St. John's. This is not just a place to gather, but a place which serves/educates/commissions the people who gather here, a place from which service is initiated to those in need outside these walls, and a place where growing individuals become Christ's representatives in the world.
Come join us! Become a part of the campaign to preserve and maintain St. John's United Methodist Church....to be a shining beacon "calling" generations for many years to come.
